How To Clean Silver With Dish Soap

1. Mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid in warm water and gently wash silver pieces

2. Rinse and buff dry with a soft cloth.

3. In between cleaning, store silver in an airtight container.

How To Clean Silver With Vinegar

Test on a inconspicuous spot first

1. Line a pan or sink with aluminum foil.

2. Add 1 tablespoon baking soda and 1 tablespoon kosher salt to the lined pan.  Pour 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar into the dish and the mixture will begin to bubble.

3. Add 1 to 2 cups boiling water, add enough liquid to submerge your silver.

4. Place silver pieces into the dish in a single layer.  Soak lightly for tarnished pieces and longer for heavily tarnished silver.

5. Remover silver pieces, dry and buff until clean.

***If you have sterling silver with gemstones, avoid applying vinegar on the stones, it is an acid and may damage your stone permanently.***
